Alan H. Kaiser - Principal
Alan Kaiser has more than 20 years
of sales and marketing and business development experience for technology
and consumer products companies in middle market and Fortune 50
business environments. Before joining AsiaGlobal, Kaiser was at
IBM where he managed relationships with Business Partners, VAR's
and the media for the Storage Systems Group. During his tenure there
he worked directly with Business Partners in the development and
implementation of the Total Storage Solutions Centers concept (TSSC.),
IBM's worldwide program to provide Business partners' customers
planning, integration, demonstration, installation and training
in Storage Area Network Solutions. He also generated key media coverage
of the grand openings of the Solutions Centers that generated more
foot traffic for the Business Partners, ultimately creating a better
revenue stream for both the Business Partner and IBM against a backdrop
of a flat market environment in 2001. Additionally he created the
Storage Systems Group's first of-its-kind electronic newsletter
to improve communication with the Storage sales force and Business
Partners. On an on-going basis he generated news stories about IBM
and its products and services in major publications including the
Washington Post, Reuters, Forbes, Business Week, CNNfn, the Denver
Post and the Providence Journal.
Prior to IBM, Kaiser was director
of marketing communications for CYBRA Corporation, a software developer
and IBM Business partner. At CYBRA he was integral in negotiating
alliances and managing software integrators, resellers, VAR's and
printer manufacturers. Additionally, he directed all marketing and
promotional activities which included devising the company's first
public relations campaign, transformed the Company newsletter into
electronic form, while upgrading content, and instituted a revamped
graphics approach for all collateral materials to reinforce CYBRA's
brand image.
Before joining CYBRA, Mr. Kaiser
was director of corporate communications and public relations for
UST, Inc. a diversified consumer products company that ranked #1
among Fortune 500 companies in return on shareholders equity. At
UST, he handled the day to day media relations as the lead spokesperson
on all company matters. These included all earnings and other financial
news announcements, legal issues, management and personnel announcements,
and product initiatives. On an on-going basis Mr. Kaiser worked
with reporters from around the world on a variety of subjects from
generating a press tour for the company's Honduran cigar operations
to managing the media relations and promotion of Rock The Smokies,
the largest outdoor country music event in history, at the time
(1996), to plant closings in Scotland to tobacco ban proposals in
Australia and Hong Kong. As operational head of the Company's Nashville,
Tennessee Museum of Tobacco Art & History he turned a breakeven
gift shop into a profit center in less than one year by adding new
products, offering special pricing and establishing high profile
promotions to build traffic. Sales doubled each year over a three
year period. At UST, Mr. Kaiser was also responsible for the Annual
Report where he effectively streamlined the process while maintaining
the quality of this showcase document cutting costs by 30% over
a two year period.
